From struggling and striving to simplicity

We know we are struggling with something when we lack inner peace.  This may seem an obvious statement, but yet we struggle. We want control, not contrition. We want our will, not God’s will. We want what will never satisfy, not simplicity. We want to make it about self, not sacrifice. We want outer peace and quiet, not surrender so that we can know inner peace. "Cease striving and know that I am God." When we cease striving, we come to know God better, are found in His peace that passes all understanding. It’s like we can’t know that He is God if we are still striving, struggling after that which does not satisfy. It’s all in Him. Everything we could ever want and need is in Christ. But we tend to complicate things instead. It’s too simple. There must be more to it. There isn’t. When we stop trying so hard, God is there, ready to meet us where we are. He is there ready to comfort and protect us from our greedy selves. Cease striving. There is an order: 1. Cease striving. Jus

Is God’s Omnipotence enough?

God is in control.  God’s got this. You may have heard, read, or even said these words yourself. Yet do we really believe this when surrounded by tumultuous circumstances? Why hasn’t He intervened yet? He is waiting for us to stay at rest in the midst of it. To hold our peace no matter what.  He is training  us, kiddos. He is waiting for us to stop arguing, reasoning, defending and going around the same mountain of crazy that can never be fixed by these things like reasoning and trying to figure it out; not in a million years. Let's do our best to learn what God is trying to teach us, do in us, so that He can step in and do what only He can do! We do out part so that He can do His.  When we team up with God, miracles happen!  Or at the very least, we get through the day with His love and joy in our hearts instead of disarray, confusion, or stress.  Sign me up! Believe that you truly can do all things through Him including holding your peace in the middle of a raging storm. This isn
