Jesus tells me this a lot

Don't cast your pearls before pigs.

Yes, Lord.  Lord, where do I find those who are not pigs?

Still waiting an answer to that one.  I believe He will give me discernment as I go.

What does all this mean?  It means that when we give our best that God has given us - His wisdom through us, His anointing on us, the talents and gifts He put in us - and it is met with indifference, animosity, jealousy, or hatred, that those receiving/listening are as pigs who don't know any better.

If we were to cast literal pearls - priceless and invaluable - into a pigsty, the pigs would trample on them because they are ignorant.  They're pigs.  They don't know any better.  They're accustomed to slop and mud only.

Where does that leave humans?  When humans, who should know better, trample on the gifts we give through Christ, then they are either prideful, stubborn, ignorant, jealous, insolent, or of their father the devil.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew 7:15

So what's a girl to do?

God knows.  And He will reveal to us His plan, the path, what is best for us.

In the meantime, don't bother casting your pearls before those who have no capacity to either appreciate them or understand them.  God will let you know who's who.

I trust the Lord with all that transpires in my life.  Period.

So I wait on God for His wisdom, His provision, His know-how in when and where and to whom to cast all that He has entrusted me with.

I trust Him.

I believe Him.

My hope is in Him and Him alone.

Ahhhhh.  What a wonderful work God has done in me to get me to this place of utter rest and trust in Him for all things and in all things.

He gets all the glory!

Thank You, Lord, for giving me inside intel!  When I want to share and give and bless others with the gifts You have given me from a pure heart and You stop me by letting me know that I would be casting my pearls before pigs, I thank You.  I can wait.  This once impatient little girl has turned into a patient waiter on God.  What a marvelous, wonderful God You are to me, Jesus!  Prepare the hearts, ears, and minds of those that You are preparing to receive me, my gifts, pearls, for just the right place and time, O Lord.  I am smiling because I know that You are not holding out on me but bringing about the very best for me.  I love You, Lord.  In Jesus' Name.  Amen.
